In Your Words: Reflections on 2012 AWW

We're back with more from Antioch Writers' Workshop participants. Check out this post, "Summer writing musings" on Katherine M. Hart's blog. Katherine writes about her experience at this year's summer workshop and working with faculty member, Crystal Wilkinson. Here's a taste:

I spent a week at the Antioch Writers’ Workshop, which I consider another “home.” It was six years ago when I first attended that workshop as a shy, young-ish writer... Yet, coming back to Antioch, I felt empowered and recharged. I felt like a real writer. Surrounded by fellow writers, I drew strength from the creative energy buzzing through the campus.(cont.)

The 27th annual Antioch Writers' Workshop continues today in Yellow Springs, Ohio at Antioch University Midwest!

Introducing 2012 AWW Faculty -- Crystal Wilkinson

Afternoon Fiction Seminar—Crystal Wilkinson

Crystal is the author of Blackberries, Blackberries and Water Street. Nominated for both the Orange Prize and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, she has received recognition from The Kentucky Foundation for Women, The Kentucky Arts Council, The Mary Anderson Center for the Arts, The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and is a recipient of the Chaffin Award for Appalachian Literature. Her short stories, poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. She currently teaches in the BFA in Creative Writing program at Morehead State University and the brief residency MFA in Writing program at Spalding University. Visit Crystal Wilkinson's website at http://crystal-wilkinson.blogspot.com.
