October 9 -- The Last Day to Register for the AWW LitSalon!
The Antioch Writers' Workshop LitSalon is a new program that is a fantastic, fun way to enjoy an afternoon with fellow literature lovers, hob-nob with a celebrated author, and support Antioch Writers' Workshop... all at once! And get a tax deduction, too! Our goal is to do several a year; here are the details on our first ever AWW LitSalon
Martha Moody |
At the first ever AWW LitSalon on Sunday, October 13 4-7 p.m., join literature lovers to celebrate writing and books in general and to meet with Martha Moody, New York Times' best-selling author (Best Friends and Sharp and Dangerous Virtues as well as other novels). After you've mingled and enjoyed wine, beer, other beverages and hors d'ouevres, Martha will share the insights, imagination and inspiration that enabled her to transition from a career as a beloved physician to best-selling novelist. There will be plenty of time for asking questions of this creative literary master... and for meeting new friends!
Ron Rollins |
The first LitSalon will take place at the home of Amy and Ron Rollins in Kettering, Ohio. Ron is the Associate Editor of the Dayton Daily News and is a contemporary visual artist who has had his work displayed in many local art shows. (Bonus: see some of Ron's art work and art collection!)
